Fatigue can drain your energy and you have no desire to be physically active – by the way to be physically active is an essential part of coping with depression. If you feel tired all the time you should talk with your doctor.
Treating depression requires an individual approach. It is often the uneasy process. After trying several different medications, many people are only able to reach remission or have no symptoms or residual problems. Some people will have to try different methods of treatment before they find an effective treatment.

Bad things happen and you are not able to prevent them all the time, so you may become vulnerable to the feeling of helplessness that depression feeds on and prospers.
Loss of Interest
Unnoticed or untreated depression may leave you uninterested in your personal or professional life. People that have depression signs or symptoms are likely to skip work. And if they do work, they are less efficient, often suffer from bad relations with colleagues, and get tired faster.
Anxiety, Low Mood, Sadness
Everyone feels sad sometimes, has an anxious moment, or has a day when you feel a bit empty or low. However, when depression invades it seems to keep you feeling persistently sad, low, anxious or empty. Some people feel a combination of these four feelings. Others feel predominantly one of them. Anxiety is an extremely warning sign for people with major depressive disorder (MDD). I.e. a person will be more likely to experience a recurrence of MDD. If you can’t find a reasonable statement for your anxiety, you should talk with someone to share your feeling or go to the doctor.
You start thinking that you are worthless. You begin to hate yourself. Here are some examples of people with the low self-esteem: “I can’t do that, I am not good at anything”, I do everything wrong”. They often believe that they were losers at high schools, they fail to contact with people. Such people estimate other human beings higher than themselves, to a great extent they rely on opinions and authority of strangers.
Depressed people are extremely sensitive to criticism; they do not want to communicate with anyone else. They feel uncomfortable when other people are near; they experience loneliness. Depressed people are not confident in themselves – they find it difficult to protect their points of view, to express their own opinions, to express their feelings or thoughts, to ask for help and support, and, if necessary, to say “no”. However, the same problems in some people do not lead to depression, but if there is a disease, symptoms mentioned above get worse. It happens that a person communicates easily with others for some period of time. Everything changes when depression develops.
It is normal when you regret after making a mistake or offending someone unintentionally. But in this case, the guilt may be extremely high. You think that you are a really bad person. This thought turns natural guilt into painful and destructive emotion for your psyche.
Alcohol or Drug Abuse
Alcohol or drug abuse in a person being treated for MDD is a warning sign of a larger problem. Someone with depression may be using alcohol or drugs to cover up or reduce other symptoms, like an anxiety or personality disorder. Alcohol or drugs help forget about your problems for a while. Sometimes constant aches and pains lead to MDD. It is important to consider chronic pain because you can blame old age or changes in the weather, but muscle aches, backaches, joint pain, and even stomachaches may lead to severe complications including depression. You should speak with your doctor, otherwise, it will affect your lifestyle and mood.
There is no secret that many people with depression struggle with thoughts of suicide. Statistics shows that 90 percent of people who commit suicide are depressed or have another serious mental disorder. Repeatedly thinking about suicide can be very risky. It should be taken seriously and dealt with promptly. Suicidal thoughts are more than just fantasies about harming yourself. You may also think about how “beneficial” it would be to your friends and family if you were no longer alive. Remember that suicide is not an option, try to seek any help, no matter how hard it is.
Remember, depression is treatable and effective treatments are available. The earlier you seek help, the better.
